Malaysia Forum 2010 New York: Harapan

For Malaysians and friends around New York City:

Hi all!

My name is Suet Li and I’m writing on behalf of the Malaysia Forum Conference Committee (MF Conference NYC 2010). Some of you may already know this but we’re organizing another forum this year and this time around it’ll be at Columbia University, New York City! Our theme this year will be Harapan, kerana kami berharap tanah tumpah darah kami aka Malaysia akan menjadi lebih maju dan makmur dan sejahtera! (Sejahtera Malaysia!!)

Anyway, we really hope that you can all join us this year at our annual conference for lots of Malaysian fun and love! Manglish will be spoken (in fact it will be strictly enforced. We will have someone guarding the door to test your manglish before you can come in hahaha kidding) and delicious Malaysian food will be served. There will also be a local forum on active citizenship and a live forum that will be broadcast all the way from Malaysia!

Unfortunately, due to our budgetary constraints (if you know any working professionals who want to donate, please let us know!), we won’t be providing free accommodation. However, we will definitely assist you in finding somewhere to stay in one of the hostels around the area but to do so, please register ASAP so we can go ahead and book it for you! Let us know if you need help booking a place by replying to this email!
