Brain-Brain Otak-Otak: Internship for Leaders

I’m helping Joyce publicize this a bit more, as I think this is a great opportunity for the current undergrads/grads to get more corporate exposure. Malaysia Inc. is in serious need for a new network of young blood and this can be one interesting program to start with.

Here’s a note from them:

Otak-Otak : An Internship Program for Leaders

What is it : Otak-Otak is a highly selective leadership program for interns to be held during the June – July 2010 period. We are looking to accept 50 top undergraduate and graduate students and place them in leading organizations across 4 sectors in Malaysia – the corporate sector, small businesses, government, and the non profit realm. All interns will have access to events most evenings after work (networking, site visits, training from corporates), and also share common accommodation – with regular sharing and development sessions planned, over a 8 week internship period.

Why its Important: This is a unique opportunity for students to participate in a highly selective program of its kind and share experiences with other students who are going through the same program. It will be the first year (of many to come) for a very innovative program that will allow young Malaysians to work at top companies across KL and at the same time be part of a larger group who are all working in different sectors. The program will cut across race, undergraduate degrees, socioeconomic class, and geographical background to offer a truly dynamic work-and-learn experience.

How to Apply : Application details and more program information can be found at www.otak2.com. Please register your interest today – we’ve already received many applications and will be shortlisting for interviews shortly.

Too bad I don’t work in a Malaysian company at the present moment, so I can’t hire you yet 🙂
