Actually the back story is that we got this extra booking at Quality Hotel that has to be used up, so we thought might as well get together and sembang (isn’t that Malaysian’s favourite past time?) because the last gathering in Woodlands not enough people (so not shiok enough).

The unfortunate part is – I can’t make it (dang), but you’ll meet some really cool dudes, especially if you have never discussed socio-political issues with an academic, this can be an eye opener for you. If you’re not interested in socio-political issues, there are also much to gripe about the Singaporean governments’s treatment of foreigners and PRs. Take your pick, either way, free food should be a good enough reason for you to show up.
