Just Be Happy
Once in many years, someone with excellent photographic skills will be able to capture a picture of me being unexpectedly happy.
And these pictures often reminds me that I can be happy too – look, I just did!
This is just the latest in a string of them, taken by jx at last year’s Christmas outdoor gig.
Compare my long time favorite, San Jose, Autumn 2004.
Being happy is easy, but being able to keep that feeling is hard, for the vast majority of us. Photography has allowed some of that to be kept, same goes to video and audio recordings, but most of them are just explicit smiles for the camera, moving muscles to desirable positions as we have evolved to become.
But some pictures are different – you know you didn’t have to think to smile, moreover the picture is just you and you alone, so it almost gives you a feeling that you’re inside the picture, living it all over again, and unexpectedly becoming happy again. Your mind drifts back into the context in which the picture was taken, trying to give a reason of why you’re happy, but you just reject the excuse flat out because you know you’re just .. happy.
Just .. happy. Get it?
Ermm…the JiinJoo I know always smile and is always happy.
So I don’t understand this problem of trying to happy of yours, unless…you are just “moving muscles to desirable positions” in front of me?

Mmm… i never notice this photo before, is really nice and it makes whoever see it smile (from the heart).
Trust me… you will have more of this smile or rather, we will. Photo maybe dont have (shd i use the credit card points to change for a camera…Hmmm.)
