Sibelius Symphony 2

Wiener Philharmoniker, i.e. Vienna Philharmonic, plays a symphony that I’ve come to love – it was my last concert with Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra when in Seattle (Alan, Dan, Lynne, Jensen, Mark, Rabi, Brena etc. I miss you guys!), but hopefully not with TPO this time 🙂

I like how Bernstein deliberately drags certain parts out, probably to clearly state the harmonic tensions. Bah, forget the technicality – just enjoy. First movement is missing – so you’ll have to come to Esplanade on 30 March (it’s only $12… click and buy!)
