Curing the Election Fever

'This is the first time. It is close enough for me...

I decided to make the trip so that I can participate in the democratic process.'
IT PROFESSIONAL ONG JIIN JOO

Yes yes, on straits times… w00t!

Anyway, I think I owe many people an answer – I really don’t understand why everyone’s asking me for an “election analysis”, especially Singaporeans! Man I didn’t know that you guys care so much *tears*, but my mind is seriously not in the right state to write that kind of analysis right now.

So make do with MalaysiaKini for now k?

  1. Wow. How did they manage to get you? Haha. I’m pleasantly surprised that many bothered to travel back to vote. Many of my friends who I thought were indifferent to politics also went back to vote!

  2. Hehe – well, I think there’s a sentiment this round where one would “feel” that it makes a difference. It’s the perception sometimes, not the rational issues (which has been plaguing and will plague the country for a long time to come), that propel people go be active citizens.

Try reading a good mix of mainstream and alternative media sometime for a start.
