SCS Marathon Results

Finally, the marathon fever draws to a close. According to our own calculations, SCS runners have successfully clocked a total of 965km out of a registered total of 1,148km. This is a tremendous achievement as our first attempt, and I’m really proud of our runners and supporters alike (especially those HR folks who went to make balloons in the morning).

As part of this marathon, we also done one round of charity by making people pledge some amount to the total that we ran. For example, if one pledges 5 cents per kilometer, then the amount that the person will donate to charity = 965km x 5 cents/km = $48.25. I’m still collecting the donations, it feels good to see people’s happy face when they jot down their initials on my collection roster.

I’m sure as the business grows stronger, there’ll be more headcount in the company and more people to encourage to join the run.

As for myself, I am slightly ahead of the median/average. You can see lots of information on runpix. One thing I learn in this marathon is the huge industry that can spawn around it. It’s a wonderfully big celebration of humanity.
