Amazon Associates

So this is the real picture of my bike – which looks the same as the one in the previous picture.

Ok, nothing much to show other than that. And about the tool I promised, here’s it: http://www.jiinjoo.com/modules/amazon/Currently Reading.html. I think what I have so far is really good, considering I know nothing about XSLT. I’ll add more product lines to the tool as I get some extra time on my hands. XSLT has proven to be a broken implentation of a good idea in my point of view, and way hard to learn and adapt.

Speaking of Amazon’s Associate, I suddently felt quite useless since I’ve signed up for an associate account just to try out all the webservices stuff, but never ever earning even a single cent (yeah I can’t even remember to cheat and buy stuff for myself using my associates account). After hearing the story of another employee of Amazon who runs like 20 websites on weekends and earns $50 of associates money daily, I’m more encouraged to start working on making up some of the loses in time. Perhaps I can really value-add to the customer to convince the customer to click through and make a purchase. Who knows.

So, let’s start with e-mail forwarding then *evil grin*. I’ll start having a collection of links to be forwarded around to annoy and entertain your friends. Here’s one on Beijing Olympics that I received myself through these distribution channel.
