QUINTET by PhilBrass

PhilBrass (means some brass player in Philwinds) is undertaking its first full length concert at Esplanade Concert Hall, and what better name to call it than “Quintet”, coz that’s what you’ll get, an evening of classical and popular brass quintet music brought to you by PhilBrass (and friends too).

For serious Brass Quintet music appreciation we’ll be doing Toccata and Fugue in D minor by J.S.Bach, you know, that organ classic. But, you know, when a polyphonic piece like that is played by individual players, suddenly all the musical lines becomes alive so do check this out.

We’re also pushing each other to write more brass quintet music as well, so you’ll be hearing some of our personal arrangements too. Like movie soundtrack 1941, Queen classic Bohemian Rhapsody, folk songs like Bonny Lies Over The XXX and Amazing Grace, and other fun, joy and laughter piece.
