50km is a LONG distance with no petrol :(

This is it (courtesy of someone who’s damn free):

No SG cars below this line

And that’s it. After a good dinner from JB, it’s time to spend an hour to head BACK to Simpang Renggam, fill up the tank, THEN drive back to S’pore, since the journey from KL to JB would almost certainly use up a large part of the tank. What a brilliant idea! I suddenly have new career aspirations…

You can read more here on the internet.

Quick! Time to build a town slightly south of Simpang Renggam into a new tourism destination, where you can stare at rural Malaysia, some industrial complexes, lots of palm trees and you know what, the biggest congregation of gas stations in the country!

Teacher say, don’t blame others for your on fault. I say, and keep the gas, thanks.

  1. aiya, i think most of the petrol stations will still ‘secretly’ offer the same price to the foreigners… good money what.

  2. you mean “higher” price… so can blackmail a bit.

no la, basically any blanket rule like that is typically going to cause more grievance than anything. these two countries should start thinking of how to help one another, even if it’s a traded benefit, than to kill away something like that.

  3. Gas price is now a factor in almost everything, and it’s not even really reflecting the true cost yet..

  4. Why not skip going Johor? The ban seems like yet another gesture showing that the Malaysian government does not welcome Singaporeans.

Its ok for you to spend hundreds in Malaysia, but yet they want to penny-pinch the tens of dollars of fuel subsidy despite the fact that Singaporeans already have a 3/4 tank rule in place.
