Or not? Adding to sad joke is that, firstly the cartoon is from a Scandinavian country, secondly the guy is watching football, and thirdly he’s still using a CRT monitor.

Every time I see Java (the programming language) I think about its history of firstly trying to be the language of a universal set top box. Recently I was comparing the architectures for Apple TV, Windows Media Center, etc. none has really adopted the virtual machine model completely. Of course there’s also the content provider side of things, trying to rake in huge profits for their content, but let’s not go there.

So, next time each channel comes in one set-top box – funny or not?
