浪子心声 Voices of Drifters

Can someone tell me why songs these days can’t be as concisely beautiful and deeply meaningful as these written decades ago?

We are all wanderers, to some extend. We go around seeing the world, and gain wisdom, and come to accept that we are no more than drifters who does not control the world. So we choose wisely our dreams of pursuit, and be generous and kind to others along the way.
