Came to hear about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.streetsine.com\" target=\"_blank\">StreetSine<\/a> and the current <a href=\"http:\/\/www.earthsg.com\/ras\" target=\"_blank\">RAS<\/a> only recently (which are both based on last year&#8217;s competition on Google Maps), and wondered why it didn&#8217;t take off &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;re some possible explanation:<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image379\" src=\"http:\/\/wp.jiinjoo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/happening.JPG\" alt=\"Singapore is too happening\" \/><br \/><b>Singapore is too happening<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image380\" src=\"http:\/\/wp.jiinjoo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/healthy.JPG\" alt=\"Singaporeans are too healthy\" \/><br \/><b>Singaporeans are too healthy<\/b> (walk 49 minutes to MRT)\n<\/div>\n<p>Ok, jokes aside &#8211; now that these code competition is over, I hope all the apps can be made public by the participants. Even a more polished version is fine. Firstly, they are proof of concepts, and not mainly business models so it is actually better then that people get to see and touch what is possible to formulate business models that would allow for the idea to take flight.
