Finally, the marathon fever draws to a close. According to our own calculations, SCS runners have successfully clocked a total of 965km out of a registered total of 1,148km. This is a tremendous achievement as our first attempt, and I’m really proud of our runners and supporters alike (especially those HR folks who went to make balloons in the morning).<\/p>\n

As part of this marathon, we also done one round of charity by making people pledge some amount to the total that we ran. For example, if one pledges 5 cents per kilometer, then the amount that the person will donate to charity = 965km x 5 cents\/km = $48.25. I’m still collecting the donations, it feels good to see people’s happy face when they jot down their initials on my collection roster.<\/p>\n

I’m sure as the business grows stronger, there’ll be more headcount in the company and more people to encourage to join the run.<\/p>\n

As for myself, I am slightly ahead of the median\/average. You can see lots of information on runpix<\/a>. One thing I learn in this marathon is the huge industry that can spawn around it. It’s a wonderfully big celebration of humanity.
