Foolamak – finally found the catch.
Upon activation of SingTel myBill,
a) All the billing account(s) under your NRIC/FIN will be automatically set to paperless bill. An email notification will be sent to your registered email address when the next bill is generated and the electronic billing information is ready for viewing.
b) If you want to continue receiving paper bills, you can log on to your SingTel myBill account and easily submit your request via Account Settings. Each paper bill will be chargeable at $0.54 each (inclusive of 7% GST).
Sorry, I will keep to my free paper bills then… haih…
Is it weird to be techie and yet prefer paper? Maybe if one dabbles in technology too much, one would start to distrust technology?

He pretends that a lot of people read his blog, and is thus only partially frank in his writing. To get the full blown view often involves contacting him for coffee (he doesn't like alcohol).

It’s funny, this SingTel myBill. I’m a techie too but free paper certainly rocks my boat! Rather than switch to myBill and have to pay a fee for paper bills next time, wouldn’t it be better if they gave a monthly 30-cent rebate to offset their printing and mailing expenses? At least the benefits would be tangible!
