I’m alive again!

This must be the longest break (12 days!) from blogging I took in the past year, but fortunately I’m still alive, and an extra Good Friday holiday does help provide extra time. Here’s what happened in the mean time:

  • I had serious election fever – although that had subsided, a recent unfortunate break-in to my home reignited that thought (so what is my new MPs and DUNs going to do about security).
  • After serious election fever, I had serious fever – my gung-ho-ness doesn’t help, as I refuse to see the doctor, the fever/flu/whatnot took away my appetite to do everything, until today, after I slept 14 hours in total.
  • I had 1 training course and 1 orientation, that’s a lot of tax payer money spent on upgrading myself. They are both good to say the least, besides allowing me to make a few new friends 🙂
  • I got myself into, dunno fortunately or unfortunately, the TPO committee, as (hopefully no more no less) a webmaster, but I’m sure some day I’ll regret anyway…
  • The planning of the August Philwinds pop concert has started. This means some serious music arrangement work for the following 3 months, at the rate of 1 medley per 2 weeks. Will need some help here.
  • I developed a sudden crave for an UMPC – perhaps due to the impossible Lotus Notes that I use at work, anything that’s mobile and carries my mail + calendar + browsing seems to be attractive. It’s unfortunate that most UMPC still doesn’t come with phone function (some people explained that it is due to not wanting to get involved with telcos for rights etc.) although the recent launch of i-mate in Singapore is rather attractive (and pricey!!)

Jobs for both web building and scores are piling up. Hope I can make everyone happy on time. Meanwhile, do read the rest of the Internet if you’re bored ok?

  1. Hey I like the way this blog post is constructed! Short and straight to the point. 🙂 (and less wordy ^^;;).

Good luck with preparations for Philwinds! Sure looks like you have responsibilities ahead of you.

  2. Consider an ASUS EEE PC. 500 dollars for 0.95 kg, 20 second start-up time, 4GB SSD, operates on Linux, eminantly hackable-to-your-hearts-desire.
